i'm what you might call a weaver...
If my professional life was a car on the interstate, it'd be weaving across all lanes. Every day I'm up to my cranium in the latest music, keeping up with a myriad of genres. Almost weekly, I'm clicking my way through children's iPad apps for reviews while simultaneously developing web content, editing book manuscripts or writing press releases, artist biographies, web and marketing copy, business proposals and drug treatment-related articles. In between all that, I'm always on the lookout for a compelling story, be it an 80-year-old ragtime pianist with an incomparable American music collection or the couple who rescues abused and neglected horses in central Oregon—whether I have an outlet for the story or not. Whatever lane I'm cruising in, you can bet I'll hit my deadline, because in my line of work, deadlines matter.

GOOGLE PLAY For the uninitiated, Google Play is the digital distribution platform of Google, the iTunes-and-Amazon-meets-iCloud marketplace whereby Android handheld users and non-Android online users can purchase, download and stream movies, music, books and apps with one click. In my role as the Gospel/Christian Editor, I oversee the programming and content found here.
KIRKUS REVIEWS As an avid reader and storyteller myself, it is fascinating to live in an age where books are digitized into computer-animated, moving pictures that come to life on devices that fit in the palm of your hand. Since 2011, Kirkus Reviews—an online publication built on 100+ years of literary criticism—has given me the opportunity to review some of today's best children's literature in app format. Gary's Place, Big Little Brother and The Mouse Who Lived on the Moon are just a few examples.
FOUNDATIONS RECOVERY NETWORK FRN is a nationwide chain of inpatient and outpatient treatment centers that specialize in co-occurring addictions and mental disorders. As a contributing writer for their web sites since 2010, I have researched and written over 500 treatment-related articles like the ones seen here.
